Things to do in Letchworth

Letchworth Golf Club

The Heritage, a classic parkland course, was established in 1905. Subsequently, Harry Vardon, both well-known player and architect, provided the 18-hole design. It presents a variety of golfing challenges that require skill and fine judgment, making it a wonderful test of golf. In recent years the high quality of the course has been further enhanced by major investment.  A purpose built range was opened in 2015 and Academy course in 2016.

Wrest Park

An exceptional rarity – a magnificent house of the 1830s set in an outstanding restored garden landscape originating in the 17th century. The house itself is remarkable, a near unique example of 19th-century English architecture following the style of an 18th-century French chateau. Its grounds are a glorious amalgam of three centuries of English garden design, and contain one of the few remaining formal gardens of the early 18th century. Children’s Play area.
